Managing Consultant

The Role:
- Advise clients on CPM strategy, process optimization, and transformation roadmap for Group Accounting & Consolidation, Planning and Reporting (e.g., Disclosure, Management Reporting, ESG, BEPS, etc.).
- Develop concepts for integrated corporate performance management data models and innovative approaches to group consolidation, planning, scenarios, and simulations.
- Provide guidance on CPM system and Record-to-Report process standardization, optimizing consolidated financial statement preparation, and automating and integrating external and internal group reporting.
- Support clients in CPM software selection processes.
- Design and implement professional CPM software solutions, primarily using cutting-edge tools like CCH Tagetik or comparable solutions.
- Advise clients on post-implementation governance and target operating models for CPM systems (e.g., CoE setup, RACI, Support Model).
- Take responsibility for managing and delivering projects, while providing leadership to team members.
- Collaborate with your team to acquire new projects and create compelling sales presentations.
- Support the growth of our consulting team and contribute to enhancing Satriun’s service offering.
Requirements for Success:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred).
- Additional relevant professional education is a plus (e.g., Certified Accountant, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or comparable certifications).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in audit or financial reporting consulting, ideally with a Big 4 accounting firm, leading consulting firm, or industry group accounting/controlling function.
- Strong understanding of IFRS (knowledge of other accounting standards is a bonus) and finance/controlling processes.
- Sound knowledge and experience in group financial consolidation and Record-to-Report processes.
- Relevant experience with various CPM solutions like CCH Tagetik, OneStream, HFM, SAP FC/BPC/BCS, LucaNet, or IBM Cognos Controller is advantageous. Knowledge of ERP, DWH, or BI solutions (e.g., SAP FI/CO, BW, SAC, PowerBI, or comparable tools) is a plus.
- Passion for digitizing finance processes and systems, with a hands-on approach to configuring and implementing leading CPM software solutions.
- Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset throughout the entire CPM solution lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation. Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to go the extra mile, travel, and demonstrate flexibility and resilience.
- Ability to build relevant internal and external networks in a fast-paced, international environment while fostering sustainable relationships.
- Proven project leadership experience, successfully delivering multiple engagements, exceeding client expectations, managing high-performing individuals, and handling quality and commercial aspects (budgets).
- Language skills: Excellent English and German skills are prerequisites for the Düsseldorf location; excellent English skills are required for the Zürich and Geneva locations, with German and French as additional assets for the Geneva location.
